VALDOSTA MAYOR SAID SENATOR OSSOFF "BENEFICIAL TO THE CITY"
Valdosta GA.- In a recent interview Valdosta Mayor explained why he decided to support democratic candidate Jon Ossoff instead of his party line candidate, as a way of gratitude.
Scott James Matheson said that in the most difficult time of his administration and city of Valdosta, Senator Ossoff was the only politician there to support the city and his administration, bringing support and funds to address Hurricane Helene crisis.
Matheson was interviewed by the media outlet Courier Georgia. Many people have seen his support as a treason to the republic party, which has been struggling to succeed in the mid term election.
According the Valdosta Mayor his strong relation with Jon Ossoff have been beneficial for him as a Mayor and to the City of Valdosta”
Jon Ossoff helped to win federal money to transit system in Valdosta and also was present during the Hurricane Helene bring support to the city.
